At One Way Church Alvarado, we understand that sometimes families need a little extra help. Our food pantry is here to provide groceries and support to those in need within our community. We're committed to helping families have access to food.
Groceries for our community
We offer assistance with groceries, ensuring that we stock our shelves with a variety of food items to meet the diverse needs of families. Our goal is to help families choose food that their family will eat, minimizing waste and maximizing the benefit of our resources.
Eligibility and access
Our food pantry is available to residents of Alvarado and Venus. To receive assistance, individuals must show proof of residence and complete a short application. We are currently open on the 3rd Friday of every month 3 pm - 6 pm. For emergency situations, please contact the church directly for assistance. Please note that we exclusively assist with food provisions.
A story of impact
Recently, on a Saturday, we were working at the church, and a young man came in to ask if we give food out. We told him to have his dad come in. They were a family of five and very humble. They truly were hungry and kept thanking us for the food. We were blessed and thankful we were available to assist them. We even gave them all the leftover pizza from our church workday. They were excited and grateful to receive it.

We would love to have our pantry open more than once a month, but we are in short supply. You can help us assist others by donating food or making monetary donations to support the pantry. Your generosity makes a real difference in the lives of families in Alvarado and Venus.
